NEW EXHIBITION

When contemplating creativity, I admit to being impressed by the draftsmanship of Gustav Klimt, the audacity and creativity of Picasso and the fortitude of Artemisa Gentileschi and other female artists.
The "Lady & the Unicorn" tapestries in Paris move me greatly for their colour and detail in particular.
I have my own style and language which has developed over the years through experimentation with a variety of mediums and different approaches to my subject matter.
The process is the important thing.
The struggle, excitement and energy, which are so much a part of the creative process, can be intoxicating. Some things become favourites, contributing to a personal language and the sheer pleasure of creating.

SERENADE
the artist and the bush
The works in this collection are narratives which reflect the intimate response of artists and musicians to the natural landscape.
The patterns and sounds are translated in a highly decorative manner.
My inspiration comes from a personal relationship with the bush.
